After 11 years, the works-driver contract will not be renewed. Eng’s highlights include three Spa 24 Hours wins and a GTLM class victory at Daytona.

BMW M Motorsport and Philipp Eng agreed not to renew the works-driver contract, which expires at the end of 2026. BMW announced the decision on 21 October.
Eng joined BMW M Motorsport in 2016. He won the Spa 24 Hours overall in 2016, 2018 and 2023, took a GTLM class win at Daytona in 2019, and raced the BMW M Hybrid V8 in IMSA from 2023. BMW said he will pursue new opportunities from 2027.
The milestone car is a BMW M4 Competition Convertible for the US market. The plant has built BMWs since 1973 and will begin producing the new 3 Series Sedan in November.
Germany comes first. The Level 2 system will still require an attentive driver.
The partnership focuses on electric off-road motorcycles. Venna will remain independent; BMW did not disclose the investment amount or stake.
