What BMW Motorrad announced
On 29 October, BMW Motorrad announced an investment in Venna, a start-up developing high-performance electric motorcycles. The partnership is aimed at the electric off-road segment. The announcement gives no investment amount, ownership stake, specifications for a future model or launch timetable.
Venna will remain independent
The companies plan to combine their expertise in selected areas. Venna will retain its independence and pace of development, while BMW Motorrad contributes development and industrialisation know-how. BMW describes the investment as a way to enter a new segment and reach new riders; no joint product has been announced.
