Driverless movement inside factories
BMW Group reported one million new-vehicle movements in production and logistics areas using Automated Driving In-Plant. This is a factory system: vehicles follow defined routes without a driver; it is not autonomous driving on public roads.
Rolling out across plants
The system is in use at plants in Dingolfing, Leipzig, Regensburg and MINI Plant Oxford. BMW Group says its production network currently handles around 3,500 such movements a day; Spartanburg is scheduled to follow in 2027.
