Fluids and warnings
Check levels using the manual’s procedure; some engines measure oil electronically. Do not open a hot cooling system. Investigate warnings or leaks first. Do not mix fluids without confirmed compatibility.
Have a plan
Check documents, equipment required along your route and assistance contacts. Secure luggage, set the route before moving and plan rest stops. Afterwards, update the garage odometer and note any issues.
