Former racing driver Richard Hamann founded the company in 1986. It grew from a vision of personalising premium cars, combining distinctive bodywork with engine, chassis and interior development. Over the years HAMANN created packages for many BMW generations, including M models, coupes, convertibles and SUVs. Its portfolio spans classic projects as well as modern BMWs.
