Birds began as a BMW franchise in 1974 and became an independent specialist and engineering workshop in the late 1980s. It imported Hartge products and adapted them for the British market. For the E30, Birds carried out right-hand-drive conversions, engine conversions and suspension and drivetrain upgrades. Today it continues to specialise in BMW sales, servicing and upgrades, linking classic tuning history with modern marque expertise.
