AC Schnitzer began operating in Aachen in 1987. Drawing on the Kohl dealer group and the Schnitzer family’s motorsport environment, it focused on road-going BMWs: engine and suspension tuning, aerodynamics and interiors. MINI and BMW motorcycle programmes later joined its car projects. The atelier is known for complete packages intended to complement factory handling, not just change a car’s appearance.
