3D Design started in Japan in 1998. It was formed by a team with experience across racing disciplines, which became the basis for parts designed for both road and circuit use. The company emphasises testing suspension on public roads and race tracks, precise manufacturing and responding to drivers’ needs. From 2004 it also developed exterior components in urethane and carbon fibre. Its focus is BMW rather than general-purpose tuning across many marques.
